A general class, suitable for all levels.

For most classes, you need to be able to get down to the floor and back up again.

Thursdays – Royal Derby Hospital

Cardiac Rehab Gym (level 0), Royal Derby Hospital, Uttoxeter Road, Derby.

6.00pm – 6.50pm.   –   £4 for NHS staff  – drop-in class

A general class, suitable for beginners, with a focus on stress-relief and back care. Open to staff currently working for Derby Hospitals or Derbyshire Community Health Services, as part of the Staff Wellbeing Initiative.

no need to book, simply complete PAR-Q form on Flo and present at your first class

Class also open to non-NHS – £5 per class

non-NHS students will be asked to complete a health questionnaire in order to join the class

 

Master classes

A longer class, lasting 2 hours, allowing time to delve more deeply into a particular aspect of yoga, usually with a theme. All suitable for beginners, as well as those who want to deepen their yoga practice.

Healthy Back Classes

A 6-week Dru Healthy Back programme, with home practise materials. Designed to alleviate muscular back pain problems and help keep your spine in good health.

Take the home practise materials away to continue the programme in your own time. To benefit most from the programme, aim to do some home practise 3 times a week, even just 20 or 30 minutes.

What to bring to class?

Please wear loose comfortable clothing you can easily move in, and bring:

  • a sticky yoga mat (so you won’t slip, as yoga is practised in bare feet)
  • a blanket (for kneeling and sitting poses and for relaxation)

If you like a cushion for relaxation or blocks/straps, please bring your own to class.
